Minnesota Victim Assistance Academy (MNVAA)
The Minnesota Victim Assistance Academy (MNVAA) offers a series of comprehensive, academically based trainings designed to enhance the skills of victim assistance providers, victim advocates, law enforcement, criminal justice and other professionals who work with crime victim survivors. Scheduled annually, MNVAA's tentative dates will be listed below when determined. Please check this page for updates and further details as they become available.
Information
- Foundational level educational opportunity designed to improve the quality and consistency of victim services in Minnesota
- For victim service providers, criminal justice professionals, law enforcement, and others, this training uses a multi-disciplinary approach to build and strengthen the providers' capacity to serve those impacted by crime
- Comprehensive curriculum with academic credit through St. Cloud State University (available for an additional fee)
- CEU credits for the MN Board of Social Work will be made available
- Tentative dates for the 2024 MNVAA are being determined and will be posted here when finalized
- The location for MNVAA will be decided through the Request for Proposal process and posted here when determined/named.
