Fire sprinkler systems can mean the difference between life and death, according to experts in our State Fire Marshal (SFM) division. In this case, it gave Meadowlands firefighters time to get the residents out of the building safely.

​​Sprinklers help​ save lives at Meadowlands assisted living facility

There are hundreds of arson fires in churches across the country each year. In Minnesota, there were at least 11 arson fires that caused more than $300,000 in damages in places of worship between 2018 and 2023​

​This Arson Awareness Week, help fire officials protect houses of worship

The State Fire Marshal supports fire departments in each municipality in Minnesota. They investigate fires, educate the public on fire safety and conduct fire safety inspections.
