Laws for driver and passenger safety

Minnesota's primary seat belt law requires drivers and passengers in all seating positions to buckle up or be seated in the correct child restraint. Today's passenger vehicles are designed with all kinds of safety features, including complex airbag systems and purposefully engineered crumple zones. But all that technology can't save you if your seat belt isn't buckled.
