Permit to Carry Annual Reports
The Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA) maintains a Permit Tracking System which provides information only to law enforcement and prosecutors about people who have been granted or denied a permit to carry a firearm. The Permit to Carry Annual Report contains summary information from the Permit Tracking System. The annual reports are required under Minnesota Statute 624.714.
The BCA has a records retention schedule that requires Permit to Carry reports to be kept for seven years. Reports older than seven years are available from the Legislative Reference Library and the Gale Family Library at the Minnesota Historical Society.
